As the best Documentary Oscar, it deserves its fame. It’s carried on by the former vice president of USA, Gore. He is slowly and gently telling us that our earth is not far from its ending. But I think the most moving part of this movie is the caption acompanied by the fair-sounding "I need to wake up". You shouldn’t miss it.
In my opinion, Gore is a charming gentleman, well educated, and has a good-looking face, so does his sister. It’s widely divergent from his counterworker, a cowboy from Texas. There’s also emphases on China in this movie, where Gore once gave a speech both in Peking U. and Tsinghua. And there’s also a special feature on a Chinese taxi driver, who drove Gore to the concil house. I’m just wondering whether this guy knew what big figure was sitting on his back seat.
If you care neither the future of the earth nor Gore, but you are preparing your TOFEL iBT test, that’s a perfect long lecture for you to practise. Once you can cover it from start to end, the listening part in the test, I think, will make no obstacle to you.
The best Documentary Oscar has never disappointed me.
I give this movie score 8.
