Career

I’m just back from a lecture given by a Stanford professor. He devided people into 16 groups and people in different groups play different rolls in team work. He emphasised the importance of team work and I’m sure most Chinese students have been tired of listening to this but few of them have the real sense of coperation.

I was devided into the group ‘ESTP’, considered as congregation of flexible and patient guys. We focus on the results and find theorys and abstract explanations boring. We prefer to solving problems through practical action. We cherish the present condition, hate affectation, enjoy get together with friends. We can’t survive without material enjoyment and our  most effective way to learn is experience and practice.

Is this an accurate description? There are several suggested occupations. Entrepreneurs, Civil Engineers, Stockbrokers, Insurance brokers,  Tourism Management, Property developers, Professional athletes, Vocational coach, will I be one of them?

By the way, I found my listening skill needs improving badly, because I can only understand about 70% of what the professor said. And I’m sure there must be lots of mistakes in this passage so everyone who has suggestions on either career or language skills please leave your advice below.

Thank you.
